A Country Known for Mountainous Terrain

For today's post, we are going to look at a country in Asia. Can you guess what it is? 🤔

Last post, I had posted about Somalia, which is a country in Africa. If you haven't seen it please check it out, also comment down what you had learnt about the country.

Now this country, which is located in Asia. Asia is located in the borders of Europe and Africa. The continent with Asia and Europe is called Eurasia, which is a continent which connects Asia and Europe.

Let's go back to the topic, this country is located in the south-east of Asia, it is Laos. Let's know some facts about Laos.

1. Laos shares borders with Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and China.
2. The capital city of Laos is Vientiane, which is located at the south of Laos.
3. There are a few official languages in Laos, French, Khmu (which is also an ethnic group), Hmong (which is also an ethnic group) and Lao.
4. The currency of Laos is Lao Kip.
5. The population of Laos is 7,010,412. 
6. The calling code of Laos is +856.
7. Laos is known for its Mountainous Terrain.

1. Pha That Luang - which is a historic gold stupa over 44m high.
2. Kuang Si Falls - a three-tiered hillside waterfall that leads to small swimming pools accessible by bridges and walkways. 
3. Phu Chi Fa - which is a forest park with mountain views.
4. Mount Phousi - it is popular for hiking summit with sunset views. It is a well-known spot to watch/see the sunset.
5. Bolaven Plateau - which is highlands with waterfalls and coffee.
6. Khone Phapheng Falls - is a waterfall and has dolphins.
7. Lao National Museum - which is a museum that has a history of Laos and it's 1970s revolution.
8. Patuxay Monument - which is a grand monument with rooftop views.
9. Phou Bia - which is famous for the mountain, hiking and mining.
10. Dara Market - which is a covered market selling textiles and lots more.
