Yesterday night we had done our 1st Extravaganza performance at Hornby High School Auditorium. Also there is a show on today night at 6:30 P.M. At the start of August I made a poster about the Extravaganza. The whole school had done the Extravaganza. Our class (Ako Ngātahi) had done about NZ Music Month. That's why we had to do research about NZ Music Month. The songs that we had to perform a olden song. Our song was "We Don't Know How Lucky We Are". It was one of John Clarke aka Fred Dagg's famous songs. There was, Vann, Axle, Aisa, Joshua and I in the group. My role was to be one of the dancers. This song was made in 1997. Our group had practiced the song really well and we learnt the steps easily. We always practiced outside, but now we practiced inside the classroom with the classmates. Also we had to practice in front of the class. Our costume was to wear a bucket hat, a flannel shirt, shorts and gumboots. It sounds weird but that's our costume.
After the class looking at our performance for the first time and the class really liked it. The boys had to practice the haka for the performance as well. I was really excited for the performance. We had a practice at the high school auditorium with our costume. I was confident about the performance. When I went to the stage the audience was full. The tickets 🎟️ might be sold out! We had a really awesome performance. Also our item "Why Does Love Do This To Me" song went well. The audience really liked our performance and our item. Today I am posting about space. I post about space at the holidays but I thought that I have some spare time so I can post something new. In the title 'Florence is Passing by!' It means that there is a large near-Earth asteroid passing Earth on 1st September. There have been heaps of asteroids passing earth and on 1st September there is. The distance of the asteroid is about 4.4 million miles (7 million kilometers or about 18 earth moon distances). Florence is the largest asteroid to be tracked by earth just after 11 days after the solar eclipse. I will tell you some facts about Florence.

Today I am going to tell you about the Solar Eclipse that happened today (started at 8:00 am - New Zealand Standard Time). A Solar Eclipse is when the moon goes through the Sun and Earth. Then after the moon blocks the sun. Today morning I watched live on NASA TV Public Channel - NASA. Do you know that the next Solar Eclipse is at July 2, 2019. The eclipse will come near New Zealand, it is a chance to come in North Island, but not in South Island. Also I have took some screenshots of the eclipse from different places like, Madras - Oregon, Salem - Oregon and Carbondale - Illinois. This was the first time I ever seen a Solar Eclipse. This term in reading we are doing novel studies. We had to choose one of the four books, Among the Hidden, Holes, Freak the Mighty and Number of the Stars. I chose 'Among the Hidden'. I am going to tell you some parts of the story. This novel is about a boy named Luke and he is the 3rd child in the family. In the population law is says that there should be only 2 children(s) in the family. If the 3rd child finds out then he or she might get arrested, taken away or may be killed. There were my friends in my group, Axle and Vann. Our group had read to chapter 10 and then retell from chapter 1-10. We could do a comic strip, a powtoon or other things.
Axle chose a comic strip and invited Vann and I. I was the writer and the colourer. Vann was the writer and the designer. Axle was the Illustrator and the script writer. For 1 or 2 days we are working on a narrative named 'Somalia'. We had to choose one of the captain, the pirate or the robot. This narrative might be small as my last post about 'The Ridge'. I chose the Pirates. You know what I am talking about by clicking here. I hope you have a cool 😎 day!! Bye!!

At 6:51 A.M at the Coast of Somalia. The sky was bright and the sea was sparkling as a treasure under the sea. We were in our mini group attacking the big Vestel cargo vessel. We reached at the edge of the cargo vessel ship. We hooked our hooks on the handles. We climbed up to the cargo ship and then ATTACKED! Every pirate went in different routes. Some went to the kitchen and tasted the food. Some of them went by the captain. I went by the captain and looked around, we saw the captain drinking coffee. I threw his coffee away and said “Do you know who I am? The new captain. Give me the keys. GIVE ME THE KEYS!” He gave me the keys and I opened the lock.
Meanwhile at the Containers…
The pirates opened the containers. A robot appeared on top. After looking around we saw soldiers of robots. The robot stared at me (one of the pirates). I went back and then. He scared all of the soldiers that were around me. We went through the containers and ran away. The robots were catching all of the pirates.
Meanwhile at the captain's room…
We were having fun mixing all of the captain’s settings. Someone tapped me (the pirates captain). I turned around and saw a robot? My expressions were so weird. The robot pointed ahead of me. I saw soldiers of robots. Also I saw closely my pirates, kneeling down. We all ran away. We all thought that we will never, ever go to this Vestel Cargo vessel ship.
For a week we are writing about 'The Ridge'. This is about Danny Macaskill going to the summit of Sgùrr Dearg. Have a look at the video first and then have a read of my story that I have wrote. I’m rowing a mini boat to the shore of Loch na Cuilice. But this ride was one of the deadly journeys that I have done. It was to ride to the peak of the Sgùrr Dearg (the name of the mountain). In front I saw a group of Seals swimming around. The mountains were surrounding me with a great view of Isle of Skye in Scotland.
When I reached to the shore I jumped out of the boat and went to get my mountain bike. I left my boat at the shore and rode my mountain bike to the top of Sgùrr Dearg. The rocks were big so I had to jump a lot of times. I came to the part where I had to cross a thin part of wood. Then another part where there was danger was when I had to jump one side to another. The water was cold as some part as Antarctica. The rocks were high and big. There were some parts where I couldn’t ride my bike so I had to climb up without using my hands. I had to go up and down mountain to mountain. There was narrow routes that I had to pass. I had just passed Sgùrr Alasdair. It takes like about 5km to reach to Sgùrr Dearg. I was climbing up the mountain to Sgùrr Dearg. I had one hand holding my bike, and one other climbing. When I reached on top of Sgùrr Dearg, I was 986m high from the ground. I was on top of some of the clouds.
I rode back to the shore. The route was narrower than going up (less than 2m). The sun was nearly going to set. There was a fence coming by. I hit the fence and did a flip. I went straight to the beach. I sat down and looked at the water going back and forward. I had a great time at Sgùrr Dearg, Isle of Skye, UK.
