There were only two cities where on the bid for the Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast and Hambantota in Sri Lanka. Hambantota got 27 votes when Gold Coast got 43 votes. The announcement was at Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. There are some recommended cities that didn't went to application.
Perth conformed in 2009 that they won't host the games in 2018.
