Spring Leaning Journey: Food | Activity 15

Welcome to another post on my blog. For today's post, I will be doing another activity for the Spring Leaning Journey. For today's post, I will be doing some creative math. The task is: If the answer is 100 pizzas, what could the question be? Come up with at least three different ways you could find this answer!

Question and solution 1:

Jay had ordered 200 pizzas for a grand party. 100 pizzas were eaten, how many pizzas were left?

There would be 100 left because if you subtract 100 from 200, it would be 100.

Question and solution 2:

Noah had bought 150 pizzas, Jim had bought 50 pizzas. How much more pizzas did Noah buy then Jim?

The answer would be 100 pizzas. This question is trying to say that what is the amount difference between Noah and Jim's pizza. Or to make it easier, we could just subtract 150 by 50, which would be 100.

Question and solution 3:

Trent had 25 pieces of pizza dough, 25 pieces of grated cheese, 25 pieces of pepperoni and 25 pieces of mozzarella cheese. How much pizza would Trent make?

To get the answer, you would need to first count how many ingredients there are, there are four ingredients and they all have 25 pieces. Now, we need to multiply 25 by 4. That would equal 100.

I hope you like my post about the pizza questions. I hope you learnt something new. Have a cool day!! Bye!!
